On Jun. 18, 2013, Yara held “Centennial Celebrations of Yara in China” in Shanghai to celebrate its 100 years of presence in China. Feng Zhibin, CEO of Sinofert, attended the celebrations and made a speech during the dinner on behalf of Yara’s customers in China. Mr. Feng said in his speech that, “The cooperation between Sinochem and Norsk Hydro/Yara has run through the whole history of new China from founding till today. In the past half a century, we have gone through many changes, both in the society and in the market. We have weathered various windy and rainy days. However, we are committed to the philosophy of long term stability and integrity first. We stay together through thick and thin. We join hands creating a brilliant future, becoming a role model of successful cooperation in the Chinese market”. Mr. Feng’s speech was received with hearty rounds of applause. At the end of the speech, Mr. Feng wished that the next 100 years of Yara’s presence in China would be even more prosperous.
During the event, Mr. Feng met with Mr. Jorgen Haslestad, CEO of Yara, Mr. Zhao Gang, Director of Shanghai Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Mr. Dai Ligen, General Manager of Shanghai Agricultural Means of Production Corporation, & Mr. Zhao Qiang, General Manager of Shenzhen Chiwan Wharf Holdings Ltd respectively, having discussions on the longer term development and cooperation.
