On Apr. 2nd, 2014, Campaign of Setting up Demonstration Counties of Agrichemical Service and Jointly Promoting Formula Fertilization between MOA and companies --"Sinofert Devotion and Rural Dreams" was kicked off in Heshan District of Yiyang, Hunan Province. The campaign was jointly organized by Department of Crop Farming Administration of Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) and Sinochem Fertilizer Company Limited (Sinofert).

Over 200 delegates attended the kickoff ceremony, including those from Department of Crop Farming Administration of MOA, National Agricultural Technology Extension and Service Center, Expert Panel on Soil Testing & Formula Fertilization of MOA, National Soil and Fertilizer Working Station, Sinochem, Sinofert, and large local growers. He Caiwen, Deputy Director of Department of Crop Farming Administration of MOA, Han Gensheng, Vice President of Sinochem, Li Zhichun, Deputy Director of the Agricultural Department of Hunan Provincial Government and Wang Hongjun, General Manager of Sinofert addressed the ceremony respectively.

The theme of the campaign is "promoting scientific fertilization and guaranteeing food security". It is aimed at promoting technology on scientific fertilization and continual & sound development of China's agriculture within 3 years through the joint efforts among Sinofert, a subsidiary of Sinochem, agriculture related government agencies, local government and research institutions. In order to achieve this, MOA has selected 11 agricultural provinces and 19 key grain growing counties to set up such demonstrations.

Sinofert started its soil testing and formula fertilization in 2006. After 8 years of development, with the guidance and support from MOA, Sinofert has established a 3-tier service system, including soil testing and formula fertilization technology center, laboratories and fertilization stations and has accumulated some experiences.

"Sinofert Devotion and Rural Dreams" is one of the national wide non-profit agrichemical service projects conducted by Sinochem.
