During the recent 3rd Summer Forum of Marketing New Types of Fertilizers in China, the marketing pattern of new types of fertilizers has become a popular topic. It is understood from the seminar that with the higher speed of land transfer and with the emergence of farmers’ cooperatives and the big growers, a new round of marketing cycle of new types of fertilizers has been initiated. New technology and new service have become the key support to the current marketing of new types of fertilizers.
The experts attending the forum believe that the big trend of speeding up the land transfer in the rural areas of China has brought both opportunities and challenges to fertilizer marketing. On one hand, land transfer has provided conditions for the agri-companies to reduce circulation sections and establish convenient and efficient service system, therefore providing opportunities for the service transformation of agri-companies; on the other hand, with the farmers becoming more organized, they have stronger negotiating ability against the distributors, therefore presenting challenges to the traditional marketing system.
