Reporters have known from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine that Brazilian corn has obtained the certification to export to China, based on the analysis of hazardous biological risks by the Chinese experts. From today on, eligible Brazilian corn can be imported to China. According to relevant requirements, imported Brazilian corn shall not be used for growing in China.
It is believed that this means China has stepped on a new stage of diversifying its import of corn. Right now, over 90% of imported corn is from the US.
